Can I repair or replace a corrupted or missing DLL directory without have to purchase a fixer. The file is MFC42.Dll

insert ur xp disk and boot from it as if you are doing a reinstall
run through all the steps but preserve your eyes open for the likelihood to repair the windows installatoin, pick this risk and you wont lose any info
either you can reinstall window xp or you can use registry mechanic
