I hold an external hard drive beside some very noteworthy files on it. Today I plugged it in and it wasnt reading on none of my two PCs and as a rule at all times it does. When I did receive it to read it shows that nothings on it and its 100% Space Free when in sincerity there is files on it. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. I hold a windows XP system the external knotty drive has 160 GB. Right in a minute I got it to show up as an god but it still shows there is nil on it. When I know files are on it.. Please Help. Show I format it again??

Do NOT format it...that will erase existing files. Is it possible that it already got re-formatted?
