External HDD not detected by computer?

If you enjoy just bought consequently you will have guarantee interval with that HDD right? shift back to shop relate them your problem ask them to solve and they will do.

Don't ask here go posterior to shop save time.
Are you competent to plug in other USB devices into your computer?

Does your computer support USB 2.0?
Open system properties by right clicking on the My Computer deity and selecting properties. From here select the hardware tab then select the Device Manager button. In the device administrator window look and see if any devices are nominated that have pale question grades. Most likey you need to install/reinstall the drivers for the USB Root Hub.

Try to find a working USB port by plugging a different device into one of them. (A printer might work).

Is your system pre-fab (for example a Dell or HP) or assembled by you or someone you know?
