Follow up to graphics card facilitate?

To be gala the store didn't attempt to sell me anything. The guy did suggest that it be probable that I had a 2x card & suggested trying ebay or similar for a used card. So he wasn't on the "you'll involve a new computer" routine. Trouble is I can't find the booklets for adjectives the components to see what it's fitted with. The workstation was built by a friend using components from Dabs so it could own anything in it! All I do know for sure is it's get a Pentium III 866Mhz processor.

Thanks for the replies, cheers!

Follow up to graphics card facilitate?

Go to http://www.belarc.com and download the free Belarc Advisor. It will show you all the hardware you hold in your computer so you can stir to the manufacturer website and return with the manuals and drivers you necessitate.
i seem to bring back my hands on old-fashioned towers all the time so I am face with impossible to tell apart dilemma...

type in the numbers found on the cards or hardware and you will find adjectives kinds of info on the Internet. from reviews to specs to downloadable manual, etc.

as for a 2x card......i buy video cards that are compatible with 2x 4x and 8x so when i interchange them contained by different towers they will work.
look,my old PC be Pentium III 550MHz with 16MB graphics card and when i looked-for to upgrade some persons said that if i catch a higher one the PC will be slower as the processor is behind the times and slow for it.so i didn't upgrade and after that i bought a new PC.

so u any get a exotic and much better PC or u get a used card because it is thoroughly hard to find a different one now.
