I enjoy a brother fax machine and when I tried to distribute a fax the telephone number key do not work . I also tried to press hook /keys nothing works. I looked underneath the cover on the backside of the key and I wonder if it needs to be cleaned . relieve I need to distribute my fax !!!

You might also want to check that the phone cable is connected.
Unless it's totally dead you should obtain a dial tone.

Sorry for stating the obvious, but sometimes we overlook these things. Is at hand any indication that the machine is even powered up? It's completely unlikely that all of the buttons would stop working at duplicate time.
