how do I fix this?

Even though they are completely turned down, music/sounds can still be hear through my computer speakers -?

Some speakers will send out sound even though they are turned down. I could jump into the reason for this, but won't. Suffice to read aloud, they are not very ably designed electronically speaking.

You can solve this by two means;

* Turn down the volume on your computer (in Windows or Mac OS) to nothing. That means, not using the knob on the speakers. In Windows you should see a small speaker deity in the lower right corner of the blind. Click it, and you can adjust the sound volume. In Mac OS it is on the top right corner, unless you hold removed it. In which case you find it contained by the system preferences (Apple menu - system preferences). If you cannot find it in Windows, click start, choose run. Write

sndvol32

and press OK.

You will in a minute get a small control panel for nouns up, where you can adjust the volume. The fundamental volume is to the left.

* Unplug the speakers.

It might work to turn them past its sell-by date, but given the problem, that is unlikely.
if you enjoy a volume on your speakers turn it down if not conceivably you have two nouns cards inter grated and pci make sure you own configured the right one
disconnect the speakers
Hey,

just switch the speakers sour or press the mute button on the volume controls.
