Erase thorny drive?

I hold 2 hard drives contained by my computer, one with XP and the other near ME. I want to put XP on both of them. How do I install XP without messing near the first hard drive?

Erase thorny drive?

Open your computer crust after powering it off.

Pull out your tough drives remembering which one is which.

Put the ME machine as master, near no other hdd installed. Be sure your jumpers are set as Master.

Boot up next to your XP disc in the compact disc tray. Be sure you have already set to boot from compact disc in your BIOS first.

XP will install on the ME drive. Do it as a verbs install.

When completely done installing XP, install hd drives in your electrical device making appropriate jumper change for Master and Slave. Tada!

P.S. You shouldn't have any trouble installing matching XP disc on both drives since they are in like peas in a pod machine.
Well, first of adjectives, do you have two copies of Windows XP? If so, put the Windows XP disk within the cd drive and follow the directions to install windows. It will allow you to select which hard-drive to install window on. Just be sure to select the right one. Running this will format the disk of Windows ME and then put XP on it.

If you do not own two copies of XP, you can format the second hard drive and simply own the disk available for storage.

There are a lot of little details here that would nick a long time to explain. I would search the internet for some information going on for formatting a disk in XP or installing XP. I hope this help.
