I am wondering if the processor is angelic so I could just buy another mainboard. When started the monitor will not turn on. I am fixing this for my uncle and he is a greatly very beefy smoker and inside of computer is brown with smoke residue. gratefulness for the help.
Emachine ruined?
Know issues next to some older Emachine boards. The board voltage regulator overheats & burns out(no fix singular replace). Easy ckeck: put your finger on the lower chip on the board by the PCI slots. If when you turn on the power it starts burning your finger in 3 or 4 second, the board is gone. Otherwise just ckeck to powersupply. If the domestic device turns on then maybee lone a monitor issue. Would need a more specific symptons detail. If all is working on most important box the check the monitor & mon. plug for bent pins if it's been unplugged since. Actual processor prob. fine.
