I enjoy an ATI Radeon 8500 Series video card. Its supposed to be able to support multiple monitors. How do I connect my second monitor and clear it work??
Help.. Very frustrated...
Dual Monitors??
Your video card probably has two outputs on it, a smaller blue one (VGA) and a larger white one (DVI). To hook up a second monitor, you will involve a monitor that supports DVI or a DVI to VGA adapter and a monitor that supports VGA. Once you have both monitors hooked up, you involve to go to control panel -> display -> settings. See if the second monitor is immediately displayed in the box.
If you don't see a monitor near a 2 on it, click on advanced an see if there is an way out to enable the second monitor (look though adjectives the tabs.)
If you see a monitor near a 2 on it, drag the monitor to its location relative of your first monitor. A box should pop up and ask if you want to enable the montior, click on yes. Your second monitor should come on. Once it is on, click on the second monitor surrounded by the properties and change the resolution to your penchant.
Hi
Its possible but you required AGP slots on your motherboard then you can do it.
You enjoy DVI and VGA connections. You need one VGA cable to connect to the first monitor, another DVI cable to connect to the other monitor assuming the second monitor have DVI connection too. You can after configure your display settings (extend the desktop to that second monitor).
