which one would be the better for games,
and if i own a 3.0 sigle processor, is it going to go faster after a dual core 3.0 processor on games?
Dual Core vs. Dual Processor vs. Single processor?
Some old games do not work properly on dual core.
Dual processor is usually the fastest but expensive.
Dual core comes subsequent and is enough for any type of gaming.
If buying a different one.. single cores are history at this point of time.
You would be buying a whole unmarked machine to seize Dual. You see, it's all surrounded by the motherboard.
Look for benchmarks on whole systems. You see, indistinguishable Dual Core would work better on some motherboards than others. Pick your RAM carefully to bring full advantage of the unmarked power.
You did not mention 64X, such as the AMD 64. A dual AMD 64 would really ROCK if Windows Vista were not such a PIG. Maybe Windows XP 64 would be the best choice for manners at this moment in time.
Good luck and Happy Computing!
If you already own a 3GHz cpu, all you entail is the video card. www.tomshardware.com for video charts (benchmarks). Dual cores can help some (about 20% increase), but no hobby can really use it yet. Instead, you own windows assigned to one cpu core, while the activity is assigned on the other cpu core, hence the speed incease. But in most games, it's the video card to be precise the most important member. Also having 1gb minimum and 2gb recommended memory can comfort as well (10-20% increase surrounded by speed).
