Dual core or core 2 duo?

1)Which one is better..and why?

2)Is 3.4 Ghz dual core better?.. or1.8 Ghz core 2 duo

3)And how do you compare a 3.4 Dual core near asimple 2.4 Ghz Ht P4 processor

Dual core or core 2 duo?

the core 2duo is better because it runs cooler its said to be the easiest overclocker i have hear running it 3.0+GHz. The Pentium D is just a leftovers of money read the reviews decide for yourself im stuck beside a p4 3.0GHz but overclocked to 3.8 there nearly the same price links are below.

Add: o forgot the question paper the 3rd link below will hold you to a download site for a benchmark test you can download this and of late run it basically tell you how well your computer can preform on full nouns.
Pentium D has two Pentium 4 CPUs so a core CPU of the one at 3.4 GHz will be 42% faster than a P4 at 2.4 GHz. Then in attendance are cache size and memory speed differences to take into narrative. You will benefit from having two CPUs if you run more than one application at a time or next to SW written to use two CPUs.

The new Core 2 Duo CPUs are much more modernized than Pentium 4s (higher performance/GHz). Some programs will run faster on the C2D at 1.8 GHz but the 3.4 GHz P4 will probably have a faster average speed.

The P4D uses far more power than the C2D and will tend to overheat.
