podgy 32 or ntfs?

i hav 20gb beside 2 partitions(c&d)

im currently using fat 32 on both barrier

which will be better ntfs or fat32

(My friend suggested that fat 32 will be better for my hdd as ntfs take much memory)

podgy 32 or ntfs?

NTFS has heaps advantages:

- more reliable

- self healing

- accomodates larger drive hedge sizes

- more secure

disadvantages:

- not transportable to non-Windows systems

- not transportable to Windows 95/98/ME

If you are using Windows 2000 or Windows XP, consequently you should be using NTFS on your C drive, since it would not move into another system. But it would take HOURS to reformat and redo your drive to use NTFS. If you make backup regularly, then you are SAFE.

Good luck and Happy Computing!
Fat32 is a noncompressable format and NTFS can be......near a hard drive to be exact less than 40gigs it won't concern much. especially if you are partitioning it twice. If you get a larger than 40gb tricky drive then ntfs is the bearing to go.
Use NTFS, it's the standard for Windows machines. I don't reflect on NTFS uses any extra memory, but it's safer for your files and easier to defrag, and is less susceptible to fragmentation (usually). FAT32 is an antiquated technology.
If you are using elder hard drive of speed 52x after definitely fat32 will be faster within these drive or if it is 72x then ntfs

ntfs contained by 52x drive will definetly slower than fat32

IF you have faster drive jump for ntfs format so that fragmentation levels will be lower than fat32
Use NTFS format.
