I want to create my own home PC. Can someone suggest a great Motherboard and Processor (preferably Athlon AMD) that can knob long video editing and also run a good Anti virus software.

Virtually anything you do slows your PC down, so I don't know what you penny-pinching.
Anyway, I do video/film and music editing (I'm doing a film right now), and I get a Dell with an AMD.
It be on sale for $500, from their catalog, I added RAM, a dual monitor card, and it works fine.
